Houston Squirrel Removal Needed At Harris County Office

The AllSaints Saint Bernard Rescue has received donations and support from all across the country. In one of our satellite locations in Houston Texas the animal control and rescue office in Harris County needed help with getting rid of squirrels in an attic, Houston squirrel removal company owner Mike Garrett donated wildlife control services to address the problem. Mike Garrett says “squirrels in an attic present numerous issues, one being their tendency to gnaw wires that lead to electrical fires. We would hate to see an animal rescue go up in flames with trapped animals.”

Orlando Florida Attic Restoration Needed For Damaged Insulation at Orange County Location

A similar issue also happened in the Orlando Florida area, when the satellite office in Orange County Florida had raccoons in the attic that destroyed the insulation by crushing the attic insulation and matting down areas with urine and feces. For many that do not know, raccoon feces is toxic to both people and pets, when raccoons are in an attic and defecate they leave raccoon roundworm eggs. Raccoon roundworms also known as baylisascaris can infect the brain causing blindness and even death. Travis Schlegel from Insulate It Solutions, a local Orlando attic restoration service contractor offered to donate services for full attic insulation services and re-insulation of the attic space.

Cincinnati Wildlife Control Service Helps At Hamilton County Ohio Shelter

Last year the largest issue that the animal rescue has faced surfaced when a window was left open and bats flew inside. The Cincinnati office was terrified that the bats could infect the animals with rabies if they were bitten. After contacting Critter Detective Erik Fisher, a Cincinnati animal removal professional the bats were removed and taken in to the Hamilton County public health department for rabies testing. According to the department “Rabies is an infectious, viral disease that affects the nervous system of humans and other mammals. There is no treatment for rabies after symptoms of the disease appear. Diagnosis of the disease is confirmed when brain tissue is tested after death.”

We are very pleased to be a part of the Greater Milwaukee Saint Bernard Club. Our wish is that through the cooperation of rescue and a breed club, we can bring further information and assistance to Saint Bernards in need, and the people who care for them.

We have an immediate need for foster homes at this time. If you would like to help us even for a short time, you may visit our “Volunteer Opportunities” page and fill out a foster home application. It is a very rewarding experience to offer a Saint Bernard a temporary home while his new home awaits.
